IN THE BEGINNING...
Originally known as The Hip Hoppers, four friends with a passion for brewing formed a company in 2017 putting their faith in the Beer Gods that the stars would align and something more palpable would eventuate.
They set to the task of refining their brewing skills often hosting a ‘Craft Beer night’ in the Ecovillage, their sustainable home community located in the beautiful Currumbin Valley.

The Core
Burleigh and Currumbin were originally pinpointed as potential brew sites, but it wasn’t long before the Tweed region became the focus. The Tweed was fast becoming one of the most sought-after areas, still having an affordable housing market. Most importantly there was something about the area that just felt instinctively right to the team.
Opportunity arrived at exactly at the right time when one of the last vacant pieces of commercial real estate became available for auction. There wasn’t much there, in fact nothing to be precise, but to the Hoppers it was their new home.
The Hoppers secured the land, submitted plans to council and intend to have the brewery up and running in 2022. The vision is to create a space where individuals and whole families will feel welcomed. “Great Beer & Good Vibes” is their tag line, and they don’t intend to stop there.
A small distillery for the non-beer drinkers? Yes indeed! A pizza oven and a small but wholesome menu featuring locally sourced produce? Oh yes! Healthy and fun drinks & meals for the kids & a handball court in a safe area? For sure. An espresso coffee machine for the drivers?
